From Teacher to Techie
I started off in Education as a Math teacher instructing high school students in everything from Geometry, and Algebra. Being a teacher, you learn to manage many personalities and it was great to influence and mentor the our next generation.
I later went on to earn my MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business where I concentrated in Strategy, Marketing, and Enterpreneurship.
Following after, I've had the pleasure of working in Technology Consulting for over 6 years helping clients with digital initiatives and organizational changes. Throughout my experiences I have worked across many different industries inlcuding Retail, CPG, Healthcare, Publishing, Telecom, and Technology.
Later down the line, I focused on Experience Managagement working with large accounts to drive their feedback programs which enhanced their customer experiences and improved employee engagement.
I always find value in helping others solve their biggest challenges by leveraging innovations from technology.
When not working I enjoy books, movies, and sports in my leisure. My favorite genres are Fantasy and Sc-Fi with Michael Critchton , George RR Martin, and JRR Tolkien being some of my favorite authors. Funny enough, I dabbled in a little bit of film making which is my self-proclaimed license to be a movie buff.
I also enjoy traveling and have been to at least 10 countries. France is one of my favorite destinations and I'm always open to recommendations for future trips.
Lastly, I am a perpetual learner. Feeding my curiosity, I often dive into enriching content to discover more about different cultures, history, and just how things work.
One of my favorite quotes, which inspires me comes from Walt Disney:
"...We don't look backwards for very long. We keep moving forward, opening up new doors and doing new things, because we're curious... and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths"
